• Homelessness has risen 9% in Ventura County since 2022...

and the youth are being impacted!

  • Our Mission

As of January 24, 2023, the Ventura County Homeless Count reported a staggering 2,441 adults and children without a place to call home, marking a concerning 9.1% increase from the previous year. The circumstances behind each number are multifaceted, and many among this count are K-12 students navigating life without a "fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence", as outlined by the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. From those finding temporary solace in motels, hotels, or campgrounds to those in emergency shelters, and even those in places not typically meant for human rest – each child faces a unique set of hurdles.

Our mission is centered around reducing the negative effects of homelessness on the youth by providing life's essentials: nutritious food, bus passes for transportation, clothing for all seasons, essential school supplies to ensure uninterrupted education, and even fulfilling birthday wishlists to sprinkle moments of joy.
